Pissed before Diss

Janet Olly & Richard pick us up in a large taxi. We catch the London train from Thorpe station at 7pm. We have all brought alcohol mainly gin! This speaks volumes about the expectations of the next few days. Roger pours “R” measures, thankfully Olly brought some tonics. Two very strong gins before Diss and we are noisy to say the least. Jokes start before we reach Ipswich… Olly tells us about some of his 60th birthday gifts. His favourite was an after shave he had always fancied but had never had the nerve to ask for it in the shops. Its gorgeous he said but its got a rude name Sore Vag… it took us a while to realise he meant Eau Sauvage …wonderful stuff makes them “come to me” in droves – Well we cleared the whole compartment with our noisy laughter. We reach Liverpool Street station, disappointed the Elizabeth line is closed so we take the circle line to Paddington. We have a couple of hours to spare and have been looking forwards to supper before the Penzance train. Sadly being Good Friday everything closed early. We ended up eating crappy wraps followed by a cuppa tea in the first class lounge. On the train we checked into our overnight berths. Very clean and cosy & quickly headed for the bar for night caps. A lively conversation was stuck up with three youngsters – all fitness trainers. Richard however was falling in love with the sexy blond bar server who was rather gorgeous. Bed around 12.40 am. Bed feels cosy. We booked coffee to be delivered at 6.30am which will give me time to wash, dress, get my lenses in & watch the scenery as we enter Penzance ,we alight at 7.45.
