Roger & I are off for a long awaited trip to Portugal to visit our very sociable friends Rita & David. With the “do we don’t we” need negative tests before we go, can we stay covid free for two weeks, should we go to Stanstead airport by train or car?? Great no more travel tests yippee! Just our vaccine certification. Taking the Train seemed the easy and more relaxed option now that there’s a direct train to Stanstead!!! With our senior rail discount cards it’s a no brainer. Bus passes and rail cards just one of the many advantages to being old! However over the weekend we have had storm Dudley, Eunice, Doris now Franklin, trains cancelled because lines damaged by falling branches, flights delayed and cancelled as they couldn’t land or couldn’t land in the correct place, are we actually going to make it? That is the question!
